Terms of Use — Job Studio
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Job Studio (the "Service"), operated by Syntrex Consulting - FZCO ("Syntrex", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data and forms part of these Terms.
1. What Job Studio is
Job Studio is a career intelligence platform for job seekers. It helps you understand your experience, score opportunities against your own criteria, and generate tailored application materials such as résumés and cover letters.
Job Studio is a tool for you, the candidate. It is not a recruitment, screening, or hiring service, and we do not make or assist hiring decisions on behalf of employers. Job Studio does not auto-apply to jobs on your behalf.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Authentication is handled by our identity provider; see the Privacy Policy.
3. AI-generated content — important disclaimer
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate content, including résumés, cover letters, opportunity scores, and other materials.
- AI output can be wrong. Generated content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or inaccuracies. You must review, verify, and edit all output before relying on or submitting it.
- You are responsible for what you submit. You are solely responsible for the final content of any application, résumé, or document you send to any third party.
- No guarantee of outcomes. We do not guarantee any job, interview, response, offer, or other employment outcome. Hiring decisions are made by employers and other third parties we do not control.
- Opportunity scores and recommendations are informational aids to support your own judgment — not professional, career, legal, or financial advice.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload or process the personal data of any other person without their authorization;
- upload unlawful, infringing, harmful, or deliberately false content;
- use the Service to spam employers or to generate deceptive or fraudulent applications;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or circumvent the Service or its security;
- attempt to extract underlying model weights, training data, or another user's data; or
- use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
5. Your content and intellectual property
- You own your content. You retain all rights to the résumés, career information, and other materials you upload ("Your Content").
- Licence to operate the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service for you — including sending it to the AI providers described in the Privacy Policy. You can revoke this by deleting your content or account.
- Generated outputs. As between you and us, the materials the Service generates for you are yours to use. We make no claim of ownership over them. Given the nature of AI, we cannot warrant that generated output is unique or free of similarity to other output.
- Our IP. The Service itself — software, design, branding, and underlying technology — belongs to Syntrex. These Terms grant you no rights to it beyond use of the Service.
6. Subscriptions, credits, and billing
The Service is currently provided free of charge during an early-access period. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will publish the pricing, plan tiers, credit terms, refund terms, renewal terms, and how to cancel, and we will give you notice and obtain any required agreement before charging you. You will never be charged without your prior consent.
7. Service availability and changes
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. It is in active development, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We are not liable for any unavailability or for changes to features.
8. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service or its output will be error-free, uninterrupted, or will produce any particular result.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Syntrex will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, opportunities, employment, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the mandatory consumer protections available to consumers in their country of residence.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Syntrex harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms — including any claim that Your Content infringed a third party's rights or was uploaded without authorization.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. On termination, you may export your data, and we will delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of Dubai. This does not deprive consumers in the EEA/UK of the mandatory protections of their country of residence.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will give you reasonable notice (for example by email or in-product) before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
